Radio Series Documents Anarchism in Eastern Europe
October 24, 2015
Recently, Anarchist Radio Berlin—an anarchist radio project out of Germany—began producing a series of programs looking at anarchist activities in Eastern Europe. For U.S.-based listeners, the four interviews produced thus far provide an interesting look at an anarchist activity in a region that doesn’t often get a lot of attention from English speakers. There are interesting discussions of squatting, organizing campaigns, and strategy.
The programs include interviews on the following topics:
- Struggles in Poland and the Rozbrat Squat in Pozan
- The Squatted ROD Garden in Warsaw
- Anarchism in Warsaw – the Syrena and Przychodnia Squats
- Anarchists and the Tenants Movement in Warsaw
More interviews are in the works and will be published on Anarchist Radio Berlin’s website.
Additionally, there is an archive of past English language interviews that is worth checking out. There are interviews on the anarchist movements in Greece, Belarus, and Iran among other topics.
